we are here at temp and julian where it is completely dark. the lights are out here. you can see pg&e crews are repairing an electrical pole that caught fire last night. this particular one effected about 4300 customers but now they have been able to restore it. there are still about 700 customers that are effected here downtown. pg&e says they got a call from somebody in the neighborhood that saw the pole smoldering around 11:00 last night. pg&e crews deenergized it. but because its a potentially dangerous situation, this really could have caused on electrical explosion. crews have been working over night to restore power to the customers. this is one of 11 outages that they are still working on in the san jose and morgan hill area. pg&e tells me the majority of them are weather related. at the peak of all this, pg&e was telling me that peak was at midnight. about 15,000 people were effected and without power. they were dealing with 20 outages at this time. i just got an update from a spokeswoman. she says that power has been restored and now just about 1400 people i
