likely to get the sea breeze this afternoon. that will make it a little tricky along the coastline as we could see some cooling there in the latter part of the day. but again, we are going to be feeling the heat as these temperatures running well above the average. this afternoon, we are back into the 80s and the 90s. temperatures over 20 degrees above the average in some spots again. so here we go. another day of some very hot temperatures outside. yesterday, we did have a couple of records. today will be close again. mostly clear, very mild around the bay area this morning even milder than yesterday. plenty of sunshine and hot again. and then some much cooler weather on the way. in fact, these temperatures looking toward the weekend maybe 20 to 25 degrees cooler. so some big changes on the way. high pressure sliding overhead, but it is moving a little further to the east and as it moves further east today, may just begin to see that sea breeze kick in by the afternoon. still, about 79 degrees into monterey bay, mid-90s into th

the sea breeze is cooling things off. into the weekend, may be too much of a sea breeze today. notice around the peninsula and out to the coast we'll see the wind speeds up about 15 to 25 miles per hour, occasional gusts that could get close to 40 around sfo later today. we will be watching those breezy conditions closely and we see the winds when they are reporting onshore that's one half of the cool down. the winds coming in off the ocean. we also have a marin layer that went from about 750 feet thick yesterday now almost up to 2,000 feet. now that slice of cooler air has no trouble spilling over the coastal hilltops and will ensure our inland locations as the wind speeds pick up will stay comfortable. weather pattern turning interesting. the spin of the clouds off the coast of the pacific northwest. showers today, north of eureka but eventually this system will drop towards northern california for early next week. right now the outer fringe, tossing high clouds and things should be dry to the high country for today. today partly cloudy skies and as the system starts to drop
