a gunman around 3:20 yesterday afternoon, identified as aaron ybarra, walked into the math and engineering building and started shooting. he was well-armed and one professor heard the shot from his classroom. >> i heard a shot. i was outside my window and saw a man laying on the ground and there was a gun over him. >> the professor witnessed what happened next, one of his own engineering students pepper spraying yc spraying ybarra getting him to the ground and then sitting on him. >> i called 911 and there was another shot inside the building and looked down from my office and saw one of my students sitting on top of somebody in a big pile of shell casings. >> pretty remarkable there. students spent the day comforting each other after the shooting thinking of the selfless acts by those that they are calling heroes. police say their actions probably prevented more deaths. they stopped ybarra as he was pausing to reload his rifle. as you can see, it could have been a lot worse. two are still being treated at the hospital. one is in critical condition, the other listed in stable. back to you.
