"today in the bay" jay gray is there this morning and more on the growing controversy surrounding his release. >> the pentagon confirms sergeant bowe bergdahl overnight from germany to san antonio where he will begin his next phase of rehabilitation and recovery. army doctors say bergdahl is getting better physically but needs more time to recover psychologically after being held by five years by the taliban as a prisoner of war. during his captivity he spent time in solitary confinement and endured repeated torture. as his treatment now shifts to san antonio, the fire storm of controversy over his release seems to be growing. accusations by some that he deserted his post and there continues to be bipartisan outrage in washington that the administration agreed to a deal to trade five taliban prisoners being held in guantanamo bay for bergdahl's release without consulting congress. >> the transfers went ahead with totally not following the law. >> reporter: defense secretary chuck hage
