i was talking to a friend of mine who lives in oakland, avid isaac list, and i asked him if he ever rode a bike from the francisco. san his answer was no, you can't. it is take the bart or ride the ferry with your bike, which isn't exactly biking. the idea hit me that surely somebody in the world had found a way to put a bike on the water and i got obsessed with the idea. can do this on a kayak. -- can't do this on a kayak. the beautiful thing with the schiller x1 is there is no learning curve. there are handlebars just like the bike i have been biking since i was six years old. it really eliminates the need for a rudder. the average person should be able to do five to six knots per hour on the water. seeone thing you will never riding a bike on a mountain or down the road is a sea lion or a dolphin. i found sea lions to be very curious about the bike. i have been surrounded by eight or 10 of them popping their heads up. the delight and the smile that people have on their faces when they see this crazy guy on a water bike flying past. next hour of the show, the global selloff continues.
