i don't think it's kansas it's across the country but i know my state best. what i would say is that people are fed up with washington. they're fed up with the status quo. and in large part they expected their candidates to do what they said once they become office holders. and in the united states senate, it has been so difficult to accomplish anything because the senate is dysfunctional. it doesn't work. i don't expect to win every battle that i engage in on behalf of kansasens but i expect the opportunity in the united states senate to have the chance to tell the story to fight the fight to make the case to actually ask people to cast votes. my interest in serving as the nrfc chair is clearly related to my belief that a republican majority of the senate would be good for the country. philosophically i align with the country to go in this direction, in that direction. but the precipitating action to my willingness to serve in the capacity is rising in the united states senate and realizing it is no longer what it has been. i'm a former house of representati
