fox 29's chris o'connell. chris? >> reporter: lucy, booby traps, trip wires and shotgun shells. that is how philadelphia police say a man was trying to protect a massive 4-acre warehouse property here in north philadelphia. but tonight that man is facing charges and another man is recovering from injuries he suffered after one of those explosives detonated. >> bomb disposal unit spent the whole day sevenning the old jopac warehouse for booby traps set around the building described by police as sophisticated devices designed to cause injury. fox 29 obtained a photograph of the spring loaded shotgun shells packed with plastic pellets. police arrived around 9:15 this morning to serve an eviction notice because the former owners had been living here after they sold the property back in march. when police got here, the man had told them about the devices, but not all of them. >> the new owner actually tripped one of them. received a minor injury. >> reporter: police say the devices were planted to keep away trespassers and metal scrap%. neighbors say the former owner has been here fo

fox 29's chris o'connell is live there tonight. chris, what is happening? >> reporter: lucy, i tell you it was a wild shooting in the middle of the afternoon on a very busy residential street leaving one man dead here in juniata. this is still a very active scene. you see going on behind me. the shooting happened at i street when someone opened fire on that white mini van killing the driver. the driver still in the seat as we speak. we're told the victim a39 year old man, shot multiple times. the white mini van he was driving then hit several cars before crashing into another mini van about half a block later. the driver pronounced dead on the scene. a passenger who was inside at the time was uninjured. now... >> we are having some technical difficulties with chris o'connell. we'll have much more on that story coming up a little bit later in this newscast. developing right now, minnesota vikings star adrian peterson avoids jail time in a child abuse case against him. a texas judge has agreed to a plea deal. today peterson pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor

let's get right out to fox 29's chris o'connell. he's live near the scene tonight. chris? >> reporter: iain and lucy, good evening. we just got update from princeton police here in mercer county. they are telling us four people have been injured in a schoolbus crash. all of them have been taken to area hospitals. the good news out of this story is none of those injuries appear to be life-threatening. the road is still closed behind me many take a look at what i'm looking at. they just up righted that mini schoolbus. again none of the injuries life threatening. that schoolbus collided with a white bmw sedan. it happened about 3:00 o'clock here on lar reasonsville road route 206 here in mercer county. just got word where this bus originated from. it was the school rock brook school in skill man, new jersey, about eight to 10 miles north of here in mercer county. the two vehicles collided here on lawrenceville road. the bus flipped ending up on its side. the bmw spinning out of control. heavy front end damage but those four people a bus driver, a 16 year old student, a 71 yea

fox 29's chris o'connell is live near the scene tonight. chris? >> reporter: iain, princeton police just reopened route 206. this is lawrenceville road here in mercer county after the nasty schoolbus accident that sent four people to the hospital including a teenager. check out some of the video we shot just after we arrived. none of these injuries believe it or not appear to be life threatening. emergency crews said they're surprised the injuries were not more serious. the bus from the rock brook private school out of skill man, new jersey, collided with an' 01 white bmw just after 3:00 this afternoon. one every the vehicles crossed the center lane but at this point it is not clear which. now, the victims a 16 year old student, a bus driver and a 71 year old teacher's aid they were on the bus and a 26 year old man driving the bmw, all of them alert and conscious when they were taken to area hospitals. police say they're not sure who may be at fault or if speed was a factor. >> according to the investigators they're not yet ready to determine who

our chris o'connell live in south philadelphia tonight with that reaction. chris? >> reporter: really, iain, a lot of people are disappointed over to today's decision. i've been down here the past few hours talking with residents of south philadelphia. not one of them is in favor of this casino. that's because many of them are literally in the shadow of this casino. we're about three blocks where you saw bruce gordon report from. i'm at ninth and bigler. this is where people now live. there's actually also a school across the street as well. now, as plans were announced for today's -- the new casino today, residents who live near the sports complex devil reactioning. we visited some of those residents. some of them will be looking at the casino right out of their front window. major issues are concerned about, traffic especially on eagles and phillies game days. 70,000 fans flock to the complex. they're also concerned about drug use, prostitution, one local resident we spoke with lives a couple hundred yards away from the site. he was not happy with today's decisio
