dover at 43 degrees. we'll see an entire area warm up. pocono mountains, you can see some of the snow on the ground, not adding to it right now, mother nature isn't. no snow in the forecast for the pocono mountains. this rain continues through the lehigh valley. and here, farther to the north, into new york state, that's where the snow is falling this morning. it's an icy mix right now in the higher elevations of the pocono mountains. and the future rain shows that it's going to stay with us this morning. 8:00 this morning, steady rain from philadelphia north and west. may be some breaks at times in delaware and south jersey, but you'll get some rain during the day. look how it fills in at noontime. in fact, at noontime today is when we could see some steadier rain in the area intensify just moderate rainfall, and the rain continues in this afternoon, but you can see the back edge of this storm system, which will be coming through this evening. at 3:00 today, temperatures will actually be climbing into the 50s, but don't get used to it. b

police in dover, delaware, are investigating these allegations against kurt busch, stemming from the night of september 26 actually when his ex-girlfriend, patricia driscoll, claimed he had a bad night at the racetrack and verbally abused and hit her at his home history at the dover international speedway. according to court documents obtained by the associated press, driscoll claims busch jumped up, grabbed her face and smashed her head three times against the wall, causing her severe pain and bruising on her neck. the incident happened about a week after busch and driscoll ended their three-year relationship. driscoll says busch was despondent, calling her names, accusing her of having spies watching him, and saying he wished he had a gun so he could kill himself. on wednesday, driscoll asked the judge to order bosh to stay away from her and get a psychiatric evaluation. in a statement from his lawyer, busch denies the allegations, saying, quote, the dover police department has been informed that mr. busch will fully cooperate with their investigation and he expects to be vindicate
