let's go over to dave murphy and karen rogers to take a look at this chilly, chilly morning and what it means for your commute. good morning. >> well, that is the story of the commute and really the story of the day. we have very cold air in place just as we talked about yesterday. you can see the rain is off the coast, cloud cover starting to dissipate. we'll wind up with a fir amount of sunshine today. but, man, is it uncomfortable out there. the temperature right now in philadelphia is 31. 29 in wilmington. 25 in allentown. a little bit better down the shore but with winds kicking in in the 20's and pushing up toward the 30's, we have a wind chill right now that makes it feel like it's 18 degrees as you step outside in the city. and just 15 in wilmington, 14 in allentown, 18-degree wind chill in trenton, 13 in reading and out in lancaster just nine. a little bit better down south although wind chills have started to go down at the shore in the mid-20's there. as we step outside to catch that school bus over the next couple hours it is going to stay on the cold side. 30 degrees by

let's go to karen rogers. good morning. >> yeah, we don't even need snow to cause problems on the roads. we'll get that later. for now the roads are just wet and we can see we're jammed. this is i-95 at allegheny and we can see that southbound traffic headed towards center city jammed at this point from the betsy ross bridge to girard. you're already looking at a 25 minute travel time on i-95 southbound from woodhaven to the vine so the roads here just wet but getting a good soaking in some spots. let's take a look at the big picture. slow speeds on i-95, 17 miles an hour southbound near girard. about 15 on the schuylkill westbound near belmont, about 30 on the schuylkill eastbound near girard so you can see those speeds are knocked down a little bit with these wet roads and everyone taking it easy which is a good idea. two accidents on the pennsylvania turnpike. this one on the turnpike eastbound near fort washington involving two tractor-trailers has cleared. at the worst of times we saw speeds in the single
