our kate bilo is live with the mobil weather lab in the snow, kate, i have to say i'm a little bit excited about this. >> you know kathy, it is fun to see these first flakes because most of them are not sticking to the roads so it doesn't mean real treacherous travel a across the area but sets that winter scene. we are here in what claims to be world's largest general store country junction on route 209 between lehighton and heading up toward mount pocono area. you can see snow is falling heavily. you can see that car behind me. they have been sitting there a while and that carries completely covered in snow. we have been here a while as well. cbs-3 mobil weather lab covered with a coating of snow at 11/12. little early for that but it is really pretty out here. temperatures have dropped very close to freezing. it took a while for to us see flakes. rain changed to snow as we made it up towards poconos and you can see here on the mobile weather lab it is currently 32.9 degrees, just hovering above freezing but cold enough in the upper levels of the atmosphere to cause this snow to fall and

meteorologist kate bilo is with the mobile weather lab in lansdale. kate, how are condition there is? >> reporter: well, chris, the snow is still falling pretty steadily here in lansdale. it has calmed down just a little bit but as you can see the flakes are still flying. we've been around the region with the cbs3 mobile weather lab. as mentioned the roads are just wet but take a look at the grassy surfaces and the bushes here. we're looking at about at least a half inch of snow i would say. looks like about a half inch or so covering up the grass, covering up the mulch and this is what we're seeing all across the region. take a look at footage from earlier tonight. we were in the poconos, towards lehighton down towards allentown where it was snowing at a very good clip for quite some time and people were outside enjoying it or perhaps not enjoying it. we asked a couple people at a rest stop what they thought about this early season snowfall. >> awesome. i'm excited for the season. good to see it a little earlier but yeah, definitely looking forward t
