what are you seeing, katy? >> i'm not seeing any accidents, so that's the biggest thing, and i hope i didn't jinx it. but yeah, free and clear of any issues throughout most of our coverage area. if you're on 476, a live shot near route 3. you can see a few cars on the road, but we're not seeing volume building yet. that will happen, of course, in the 6:00 hour. if you are taking 476 going north, it will take you about 18 minutes between 476 and 76. 95 is good. 76 is looking good as well westbound between the vine street and the blue route. and on 95, speaking of 95, if you're driving in center city, average speeds in the 50s right now, right near girard avenue and allegheny, so that's pretty good. for drivers in new jersey, this is a live shot in mt. laurel, 295 right at route 38. we are seeing, as i said, some volume picking up and no issues to report there. we'll take a look at delaware roads in i few minutes. >> all right, katy. 11 minutes past 5:00 now. >>> a plane goes down in the bahamas, killing nine peo

here's katy zachry in the first alert traffic center. katy? >> yeah, this is our biggest story of the morning, vai and tracy. for drivers on 95 northbound, it is closed between exits 6 and 7. this is in delaware county. and this is a live look at the scene. it's been out there for quite some time. it's affecting this stretch between the exit for route 320 and for i-476. so, you can see no drivers are getting by on this stretch, which is evident of our drive time. it's taking you zero minutes because you're not able to go on this stretch. but southbound, you can see drivers are getting by just fine. there's not enough volume to account for any gaper delay and it's taking you eight minutes to go from 476 to the delaware line. an alternate around this is route 291. take that to stewart avenue, make a left on stewart avenue and then follow the signs for 95 northbound and that will get you back on the interstate. also an update to an accident on route 422 eastbound. it's right past route 29. it was affecting traffic directly in the middle of the ro

here's katie. what's it looking like, katy? >> thankfully i can report we are watching this system make its full retreat. we start things off with a look at "skycam 3". you can still tell there are a few left over raindrops out here on the actual camera lens, so it sort of makes for bit of out of focus view of the ben franklin bridge. but anything that is still out there is very, very wimpy in term of any additional precipitation that would be falling here in our area. let's go ahead, take a look how did you last night with snow and the, where it got colds enough that snow had a chance to actually drop down and accumulate. so huff church, and northern new jersey, but outside of our viewing area, but really was locally one of the highest totals we had. new tripoli pick up almost one and a half inches, and couple couple cents of an inch around the rest of the region. here's what's left at this point. it is cold enough that there may be any damp, left over roads that got moisture left on them, they could freeze over perhaps, so yo

but first, katy zachry has your morning traffic. good morning, katy. >> good morning, bill. so, for drivers out there, you are going to definitely need your heat this morning, as you heard from bill's forecast. and if you're headed on 73 over the tacony-palmyra bridge, you're going to need patience as well. the arms went up over the last few minutes, awaiting a ship to pass through. the whole process takes about 15 minutes and we haven't seen the ship come through yet. so, this, of course, affects 73 for both pennsylvania and new jersey drivers. for drivers on 422, you're looking good. this is a live look right near trooper road. some volume building, but it's not accounting for any issues in that area. there is a new accident into our system. this is in limerick at swamp pike and neiffer road, an accident out there. and on the northeast extension northbound, the accident is right near the 276 merger. it was in the center lanes. it's now been moved to the shoulder, so traffic is able to get by there without any issue. and finally, for our drivers in delaware, a live look at

vittoria, over to you. >>> thanks, katie. good morning everyone. as you can tell behind me 492 freeway is slow and our majors that we're used to seeing that rush hour, build it is definitely out there and continuing to grow at 7:46. looking at 492, we're seeing delays approaching 295 and then out through the walt whitman bridge but would not be shocked if you were feeling the traffic around 55, which would be affecting 55 northbound as well, making your way to the 42 freeway. also elsewhere heading to the eastbound side of 30 bypass we are seeing delays from approaching 340 down through to 113, average speed sensors on our majors are in the teens and 20's. nineteen would be your average on the schuykill, 12 on i-95 out of the north east from academy down through the the vine is the length of that delay. twenty-eight on 476. if you are traveling 95 in delaware county we're seeing very high volume around 476, as well, as 322. and traveling on 422, we have eastbound delays out of the area of oaks making your way down to 202 and watch out for volume on

katy zachary has a look at what's happening. katy? >> smog and fog are two things drivers have to contend with. this is a foggy look at cherry hill right at route 73 at route 70. many new jersey cameras on the roadways, we're seeing fog there. especially for new jersey drivers, fog could be an issue there. live look at the vine street expressway right at 76. drive times right now between the vine and the blue route about 15 minutes in both directions because there aren't any accidents on 76. that is good news. construction, though, if you want to get to 76 westbound from spring garden that ramp is under construction and will be until the end of the month. you can take girard avenue to 76 westbound and, finally, we are following some activity, fire activity in abington right along old york road. we understand we have a camera out at the scene and bring you those pictures shortly. you're asked to avoid this area and take hiland avenue or huntington road. >>> that live picture right now just getting this. nbc 10 crew on the scene of this
