grief counselors will be at san lorenzo high school. a teen hit last night crossing the street at ashland and east 14th in unincorporated san leandro. stephanie chuang in san leandro. police still looking for the driver. >> reporter: last check the driver still on the run. victim, we're told, just 14 years old. it was around 6:30 when this hit-and-run happened here at the intersection of east 14th and ashton. the boy was halfway across the street when the car struck him, sending him into the air, and here by the bus stop, where there's a stuffed animal where the boy landed. investigators took away a scooter, presumably the vict victim's. they first saw a reckless driver south of ashton. when the driver refused to pull over, a pursuit began. witnesses heard the pursuit and saw the hit-and-run that claimed the young boy's life. >> the young boy crashed in the street, i hear sirens and i believe a high-speed chase and the car came when the boy was in the middle of the street, he got hit, flew into the air and land over there, by where the
