he found sebastian alive. the boy was crying and badly hurt. >> he wasn't really talking. i said if you like spider-man or super heroes, try and think of them and trying to keep him awake and moaning. >> reporter: rescue crews pulled sebastian back up the cliff in a basket, carried the boy to an ambulance where he was transported to the hospital. a coast guard helicopter that also flew in for the rescue was instead grounded. it was unable to fly because of the weather and because part of the landing gear failed. the pilot performed what's called a slope landing, something all coast guard pilots train for. in this case, part of the landing gear started sinking into the soft hillside, preventing a safe takeoff. coast guard teams had to dig out channels to move the aircraft to solid ground. >> we were digging out behind the main landing gear to safely roll it back down the hill on to the path to get on it to more level ground. >> reporter: meanwhile, sebastian was transferred to children's hospital oakland. he suffered broken bones and fractures to his face and skull.

sebastian johnson has broken bones and other injuries. he was transferred no the children's hospital in oakland where he remains in intensive care. sebastian's father says he was with his family monday throwing rocks near the cliff when he lost his footing and fell 225 feet to the rocks below. >>> new at 6:00, that same fire department that saved sebastian, they are actually turning to crowd sourcing to help them buy a new ambulance. it's a creative solution. firefighters are hoping that the internet will be their lifeline. >> reporter: the turnout coats don't get a lot of turnover at the bodega bay fire protection district. at this fire house, the gurneys and detranscribe later get more use. one of the visitors, four-year- old sebastian johnson fell over the cliff of bodega head. a 220-foot drop. they found the boy, pulled him to the top and took him by ambulance to the hospital 40 files away. >> we were lucky we had the outcome we had. >> reporter: firefighter paramedic josh piruke was on that ambulance. he is the driving force behind f

sebastian thinks the answer is simple, the u.s. equity markets have a ton of noise around them right now. remember what the volatility index actually represents, it's the cost of ensuring a portfolio via s&p futures options. well, there are actually other, more specialized vix indexes you may not know about. and they are going crazy. take a look at the evz, which measures the volatility of options on the exchange rate between the euro and the u.s. dollar. look at this. how about the ovz, which measures the volatility of options on the u.s. oil etf, both of which closed at new highs for the year today, even as the s&p 500 was making, you know, moving around near an all-time high. this is incredible. these are huge spikes. check out those charts of the two volatility indexes and here's the thing, either of these two indexes which measure the euro versus the dollar and the spiking volatility in the price of oil are making people a lot -- a bit more afraid here. sebastian believes they are actually a sign that the big picture volatilit

we'll certainly be keeping up. >> sebastian walker in clayton, missouri, thank you. earlier i was joined by missouri state representative courtney allen curtis, and i asked him about his expectations for the announcement in missouri. >> i'm expecting a non-indictment, but the fact that they've had to go back in and look at more evidence, i'm hopeful and optimistic that they'll come back with an indictment because there are serious issues that people are protesting for and enough that some people feel that it has to go to trial. >> you said there was a closer look. what prompted the closer look for more evidence, can you share that with us? >> that i'm not sure. i know that they had the ability to ask for and look at additional evidence, so it seems that's what dragged this on so long. i hope that it was something that caused them to come to something that the community can be at ease with and they can actually go to trial given that's what the majority of the community wants. >> what do you think the community can be at ease with from my time in ferguson it seems to

this is for world sebastian johnson pictured here monday before he fell more than 230 ft. off a cliff near the database it's just awful there's no words to express how upset i am i loved my boy he's my only baby boy sebastian was put into a medically induced coma and he is taken off the medication and should like any time the doctors thought he would wait on wednesday and this is via a note of being and rested we were hiking back along the trail to the car and sebastian knight decided to throw a couple extra rocks yet know just invoice stuff and we were about 34 feedback on the trail nowhere near the clef and i turned around and he was right there on the edge i tried as 6 in. from grabbing him i was right next to him and he was right there crews were able to get the boy to the hospital where he has been ever since he has a broken leg and a broken arm and several broken bones in his face including a broken jaw but he is alive it's an absolute miracle that is still here it's like an angel came and broke his fall straight from heaven god's hands are with him the boy did move
