[crowd chanting] you can't stop the revolution! you can't stop the revolution! you can't stop the revolution! >> this is the new civil rights movement that's happening right now. and ground zero is the policing of black communities. there's no question about it. people are drawing connections that we drew 50 years ago in the civil rights movement that this is a societal problem. this is not just a police department problem. and it's not just a county problem and it's not just a

the other side, mike brown's, dead. cases of decry went flagrant violations occur in other countries. when we think due process is nontechnology. we are outraged and we think people don't have access to evidence and able to defend themselves or at least people who are concerned about the case defend a particular point of view. we had a full on trial, except we did not have anybody defending mike brown or his memory or his point of view. we had no testimony that was put forth by a defense lawyer that might have repudiated several of the things that officer wilson said. and then we had a prosecutor who was acting as a defense attorney for officer wilson. and there is a sad, tragically debility about what happened because robert mcculloch, the prosecutor, has never brought a case against a police person who has been accused of killing a black person there in the area. when you put all of that stuff together, it was a toxic brew. it was predictably something that would end in an unsatisfying verdict because it was a trial.

one, mike brown continuously came forward in the charging motion, and at some point, at one point he started to slow down, he came to a stop. and when he stopped, that's when the officer ceased fire and mike brown started to charge once more at him. and the officer returned fire. witness number two. another african-american witness said michael turned around and started charging toward the officer and the officer's still yelling stop. he did have his firearm drawn but he was yelling stop, stop, stop. he didn't so he started shooting him. and here's a third. i thought he was trying to charge at him first because the only thing i kept saying was is he crazy? why don't he just stop instead of running? because if somebody's pulling a gun on you, the first thing i would think would be to drop down on the ground. that was the evidence that the grand jury heard. >> that was not all of the evidence that the grand jury heard. >> that's enough, sir, to say there's no probable cause to charge somebody. >> that's not enough, not if you have evidence from several other witnesses who had statement

you know, what this also tells me is that the narrative about mike brown jr. charging darren wilson was out there in the public domain within 24 hours after this incident. once that narrative got out there, apparently this witness wanted to latch hold to it and to support darren wilson in this incident. and so it shows me that as well that this narrative was out there well before officer wilson even testified about it because she was repeating verbatim as to what he testified later to the grand jury. that's the most important takeaway i get out of it. >> when you see the talk about setting aside the grand jury, are you going to try to do that and what would be your basis for that? >> we think that, number one, the lawyers on the mike brown team, do not feel that we would be the best advocates for voiding this grand jury decision. we think that a public interest group would probably serve a greater good in disassociated with the underlining cause of action. we don't want to seem as though we're vested in this outcome of it because we think it's more of a public
