nbc 10 was there along the manayunk canal as members of the philadelphia police marine unit searched every inch of the murky waters, hoping to find any clues. police tell us they are still hopeful that they will find shane montgomery alive. the 21-year-old was bar hopping with friends wednesday night into early thursday morning and he was last seen at kildare's here on main street. shane's family watched as search crews went through the canal, and i spoke with his mother, who can't imagine how her son could vanish. >> it amazes me that shane was out on one of the busiest nights, party nights, for kids that are 21 and over, and nobody saw anything. >> reporter: and the fbi task force is investigating now because shane disappeared under suspicious circumstances. and over the weekend, several hundred volunteers came out here through manayunk, up through roxborough to help with the search, passing out fliers, but so far, no positive leads. live in manayunk this morning, i'm matt delucia, nbc 10 news. >>> the man accused of murdering an off-duty philadelphia police officer is set to go to
