as we take a look at storm -- storm tracker double scan it's all snow from dover. this is the southern system that is mainly going to affect just the southern areas that are currently seeing the snow but up until about lunchtime or so you'll be in and out of this sort of action. as we take a look outside, we have sky 6 at the shore looking north from atlantic city. might see a little snow shower in ac at times between now and about 1 o'clock or so. but it doesn't look like it has much of an impact especially farther north along the coast down in cape may you could actually get maybe a coating to an inch. still cold today. that's your first highlight of your forecast but then we do get improvement starting tomorrow and it generally looks a little better as we go in through the weekend. 13 degrees right now in allentown, though. just 15 in reading and 21 in philadelphia. so obviously very cold across the region and there's a bit of a breeze, too that's giving you wind chill in the teens and in allentown below zero wind chills so bundle up n terms of the precipitation

teens, 17 right now in the pocono mountains. 37 is a popular number for millville dover. while wood checking in at 37 degrees. so when you factor in that wind, it really makes a difference. it feels like zero already toward the pocono mountains it feels like 16 in allentown. it feels like mid 20s in pottstown and 30 in philadelphia philadelphia. so as far as some of the conditions expected by the second half of the weekend you can see we'll be watching the clock. sunday morning that moisture will rapidly overtake the area. so mid morning into the afternoon we continue to find a wet weather across the area. it will be mainly rain out of the system because of that southerly wind component but we're locking at a pretty decent soaking on average an inch maybe a little more expected before this system moves out of here but we turn blustery and colder as we move toward mlk day. toward the interior parts of northeast they will be looking at snowfall but for us it's just going to be colder as we watch out for those winds in the wake of that system. so for tonight here's the timin

closer to smyrna, also dover where we're seeing the 1-inch mark. as we take a closer look at millsville, that's moderate snow coming down along the i-95 corridor. it's nice and steady with temperatures below freezing which is allowing the snow to stick. especially out on the roadways. you can see it's sticking to the cars along these parking lots. the sidewalks look pretty clear but it's making for a rough commute home. closer look at south jersey and the shore. we are seeing snow come down in parts of cape may. a coating along the roadways and the sand and the shore. as we head into the rest of tonight, we'll see the snow come down from reading, allentown, norristown. you can already see where the edge of this is starting to clear out. so, this is a quick-moving system. this isn't going to be something that will stick around all night but it is going to affect your evening commute. that's why today is a first alert weather day. heading into the rest of the evening, by 9:00 we start to see more tapering with the snowfall. our next concern will be t

we're in the upper 30's right now. 38 in philadelphia, 37 in millville as well as dover. the poconos the only spot right now where it's sitting at 32 degrees. now, as the precipitation comes in, although it looks like the majority of it is in the form of liquid rain, we have those dewpoints which is the measure of moisture in the air and that's in degrees fahrenheit, that is low enough that when this precipitation comes in, we'll create a little bit of cold air at the onset to change it to snow for most of us but then the warm air will overtake as the low develops and the wind is sent in off of the atlantic. so at 10 o'clock tonight it begins as rain and stays as rain in far southern areas of new jersey and delaware. for philadelphia, wilmington, all the surrounding suburbs it will begin as some wet snow. it snows for a few hours before that rain takes over all the way north from lancaster, philadelphia, on the verge of trenton around 3 o'clock in the morning still snowing in those far northwestern suburbs of bucks county and the lehigh valley and even by 7 o'clock in the
