i don't see anything in pittsburg. yesterday was a pretty good easterly breezeing off the higher elevations. we'll have more on that coming up. that will be a cooler pattern coast and bay today. 40s and 50s. mid 50s for some. there are a few more 40s to the north bay. 30s up in the mountain. 60s down in southern california. the fog though a lot more today than we had yesterday. the ridge of high pressure is moving ever so slightly. a weak little system is bumping it out of the picture. so morning fog. some of that very thick. i know on the golden gate it is very thick. warm away. not as warm as yesterday. it will be in the 70s to near 80. all right sal we have pretty thick fog out there. >> we do. and it's going to be moving around as steve and i have been doing this for a long time. we're professionals at this. we have chopper 5 up over pittsburg. and you can see actually some of the backups now on westbound highway 4. this is kind of the usual commuter traffic and i got to say on our sensors we're actually seeing an improvement over a normal day. it is "friday light," believe it or not. especially coming into antioch where we always see that bottleneck between hillcrest and "a" street. but yeah, a lot of people hitting the road on a friday morning. let's go to a couple of problem spots out the door. and they are mainly in san jose. northbound 101 at mckee that crash out of there but look at the backups. jammed solid all the way to capitol expressway and then there's another wreck at 280 and 880, heavy in bascomb. fog may slow you down across the golden gate bridge. really thick limiting visibility this morning out of sausalito. and if you are crossing the golden gate this weekend watch out for the rock 'n roll half marathon. it happens sunday kicks off at 6:30 and they actually close down two lanes of the bridge for runners. s
