so she lives in new york. she works in philadelphia. she left a work meeting at 8:46 last night to catch the 9:00 amtrak train from here, from 30th street station she told her husband she was getting on the train, she has a two year old toddler waiting for her at home, a son. and her co-worker emily foot told us she had been searching every hospital in this city for rachael. she tells us she is hoping that the family is desperate for news, she is hoping that rachael may have take answer early bus to new york just very soon after this derailment happened. they're make she was one of the first to get on the buses and just wait to go hear from her. but we did speak with her and here's what she told us. >> she has a ten pass, because of the ten pass, it didn't have her name on the list. a ten pass works that you can get on at any time. and what amtrak thinks may have happened is they didn't get a chance to scan the ticket. as a result of not scanning it not on an actual list, making it hard for us. >> will you know for sure she was on that

"action news" reporter katherine scott is live at hahnemann in center city with the latest there. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam. dozens of people were taken here to hahnemann alone. 140 people at least were taken to area hospitals to be treated or evaluated. we do know that six people are in critical condition of the people aboard that train last night. five people have died. >> basically the train's tilted over and rolled. >> reporter: 243 people were on board the amtrak northeast regional train 188 heading to new york when it derailed around nine:30 last night in port richmond. >> there were

new york and d.c. or new york and philadelphia? so again -- new york and philadelphia. so the rail way in the united states that carries the most people has had an accident this evening. now you see where it is and what has happened. there are train cars laying on their side. there are folks out there, with flashlights, rescuers trying to find people in the rubble. we saw video come in just moments ago from our affiliates there in philadelphia of people being treated at the scene and people kneeling over patients at the scene. those are the pictures from just moments ago. these people are being taken to area hospitals, hahnemann university hospital saying that they have at least ten people. jefferson university hospital ten people. temple university hospital the trauma center ten people admitted there. and also being taken to area health and taken to other hospitals around the philadelphia area. amtrak confirming there are injuries. we don't know how many injuries we don't know if there are fatalities and we don't know the severity of it but we see that it is obvious, a

new york. five days a week. he said that he did not feel fatigued nor did he report any illness. as we reported the other day the train has three conductors. the conductor is not able to be interviewed as he is still in the hospital. however we did interview the two assistant conductors. assistant conductor number one is 39 years old. she was hired by amtrak in 2011 and she was in the fourth car, which is the cafe car. she stated that before departing washington, the entire crew conducted a safety briefing where they went over all of the speed restrictions along their intended route. she reported that it was a normal run through philadelphia, everything was normal up through philadelphia. and she said she could hear the transmission of the locomotive engineer, as conductors carry radios and they're frequently talking to and listening to the locomotive engineer. so she could hear the transmissions from the locomotive engineer. she reported that approximately three to four minutes after departing
