this is a university of cincinnati police officer. and the university is in the city of cincinnati. but transparency. after the civil unrest we had in 2001, the reason we had that unrest was simply because it was a refusal to be transparent in that investigation of the officer that shot and killed the young man. and we had pretty much the same kind of situation here. however, we all feared the worst in that video. and we were demanding for ten days that that video be released, so the citizens and the family can know what happened. so we're saying, where do we go from here? comeras have to be the order of the day for law enforcement. it speaks to how much training is still necessary out there. it also speaks to the mere fact that there are some officers out there that will do whatever they can to avoid being prosecuted. >> councilman, the prosecutor thinks that cincinnati police should patrol the campus, not the university police. a reporter asked the school's president if he'd consider it. listen to this. >> i have not. the policing that's required of university and college police a

we have all seen the video in cincinnati. i think majority of us realize that there's something and enough evidence there that there should definitely be a trial so the grand jury returned a true bill. he's been indicted arraigned and out on $1 million bond. so the prosecutor says the cincinnati police should be patrolling the college campus and not the university police. what's your take on that? >> i'm not sure that's a good idea. first of all i want to commend the prosecutor for the work he's done on this case. i think he's done an initial job of getting this to court as quickly as possible. however i'm afraid that wanting this band the university of cincinnati police department might be sort of like throwing out the baby with the bath water. i don't want to engage in a knee jerk reaction to what's occurred here and so far we've got one officer who allegedly disobeyed the law. but does not necessarily mean the entire department should be disbanded because of the action he of one officer. -- actions of one officer. i prefer

law enforcement in the cincinnati area. but once again, wolf, the prosecutor calling it a chicken crap stop" saying there was no need for this officer to resort to violence. that officer he said would be treated like a murder suspect. a warrant for his arrest is already out. i've also had an opportunity to speak to the families' attorney mark o'mara about all this. even before this press conference was held he had already started to get word about what would be shown on that body cam video but even after seeing it you can tell that -- even the prosecutor saying he was shocked by what he saw. basically saying officer ray tensing had "no business" being a police officer. wolf? >> you said mark o'mara, a lot of our viewers know him. he's been a cnn analyst, obviously a well-known attorney. which family is he representing? >> he is representing member of sam dubose's family. and he is going to -- and we are also being told that members of the sam dubose family that was the man who was shot and killed by officer ray tensing, we

your reaction to what happened in cincinnati? >> it was an awful incident, an overreaction, and the murder and the prosecutor and the grand jury have certainly done the right thing bringing a charge. it remains to be seen but it's a step towards holding that officer accountable for his actions. as for the other two officers it appears they testified truthfully before the grand jury. but the issue of holding them accountable as to whether or not initially they may have given -- filed a false police report and the like, while maybe, maybe it isn't criminally sanctionable, it certainly is something i hope that the disciplinary procedures of the university of cincinnati police department will take a look at. because one of the things that has recurred, wolf, as you know, is not only the incidents but also in some instances the cover-ups. the efforts to cover up these incidents which many times are as egregious as the incidents themselves. >> next week is the one-year anniversary of michael brown's shooting death. it seems that since
