crews are racing tonight to complete construction of the new presidio parkway. here is a live look at the construction going onto night. we have seen them bringing in bars and pouring concrete. the concrete is quick setting. if all goes as planned, it will be cured by tomorrow. they also need to finish paving the road and install a median. they are still on pace for an on the time opening ahead of the monday morning commute. but even when this big project is done, there will still be the need for more closures in the weeks ahead. >> after this three-day closure, there will still be a foemens of construction before we really get done on this main line. there will be nighttime closures. nighttime work has to be done because we cannot complete the roadway. >> lane striping also still need to be done before the new roadway can open. that is expected to start tomorrow. >> these little headaches are only temporary and when they are over, we will be left with something that would have been a few years ago. kpix5's wilson walker spent the day with the man who imagined i

abc7 reporter janet o is in the presidio to explain. janet? >> yes, a mountain lion was the forked here a week ago in the presidio but they believe it is still here trying to make a new home and they want you to look out. >> it is an unusual site for san francisco, this young mountain lion was spotted walking along the sidewalk in a neighborhood as shown in the surveillance video snapshot. >> that is crazy. you do not know what they will do. unpredictable. there have been a total of five sightings reported recently starting on june 29 when the mountain lion was spotted in daly city and twice the following day once in sea cliff and once in the presidio. july 1 the cat was spotted not too far from city hall. the most recent sighting on july 3 near lake merced. officials say mountain lions have not been spotted in san francisco in years and they are usually found further south in the bay area. >> the interesting part of the mountain lion is not that there is a lion but how did it get there? this lion maybe has found its little place of open space
