i did depart jfk last night, you know at about 11:45 at night. i did not encounter any of these, nor were there any reports about these at that particular time. to me it sounds like there's somebody that wants to take a close-up picture of an airborne airplane and not nefarious. but i just want to caution you, that -- or make the public feel a little bit better that you know the chances of this really doing serious damage to an airplane is fairly minimal, but it could impact in the wrong places certainly. >> right, of course if it went into an engine like we've seen happen with birds before that could be a huge problem. here's the thing. >> absolutely. >> this technology is advancing so quickly and the regulation just isn't catching up to it. these are not supposed -- it's not legal to fly these anywhere near airports you know, especially a huge airport like jfk. what needs to happen on that front? you've got the faa regulating both the planes and also, frankly frankly, commercial drones. >> well they should be regulating everything in the sky. a

this evening, take a look behind me this is jfk high school in the bronx. we are told this is one of two entrances to the school. the explosion happened on the sixth floor, about eight pm. some of the custodian workers believe that it was a gas explosion. take a look at some of the pictures we shot on the ground of emergency responders here at the high school. what we understand to be the case is about apm contractors to be the case is about apm contractors were working at a sixth floor construction using a blowtorch, apparently apparently they hit a gas line that's when custodians who smelled an overwhelming smell of gas, 15 people were in the building at the time. police tell us three were injured with non-life-threatening injuries hospital. emergency responders search the entire building and there still an emergency alarm going off at the school. you hear that in the background. still dozens of firefighters on what happened. let's hear from the custodial workers who are on a break on this happen. >> we saw a quick flash and that a large explosion, everyt
