rubio: i think it is critical to talk about it. not enough has been said about groups like this and what is happening. this was the ritual slaughter of thousands of people of any other denomination and i think there would be an outrage people driven from ancestral homelands, there are not masses being celebrated. were christian services on sunday. it is important these communities be empowered. they need assistance in the short term. they are displaced in many places. i also believe that they need the ability to defend themselves. these communities will argue that we have no capability of defending ourselves. we are at the mercy of kurds and the sunni tribes. we count on others to provide for our defense. the iraqi government is not a huge fan of this notion, arming them. in the case of christians, they deserve the right to self-defense. rubio, cruz, carson and huckabee rounded out the top six. at the bottom of the list, paul, walker, bush, christie and kasich. now, we also asked who lost the debate. guess what, while trump was second on who won, he was number one on this list of who lost followed not so far behind there, rand paul, jeb bush, chris christie and lindsey graham graham. so where does the race stand right now? donald trump sticking right there with his one in five support, nearly one in four of republican voters, 23%. but the shakeup post debate, cruz in second at 13, carson at 11. fiorina, her highest national poll showing of any poll, 8%, mark row marco rubio died at 8%. then bush and walker, paul, huckabee, kasich and perry roundingtout the top 12. >>> coming up later in the broadcast, more debate. do you remember this one? >> i was appointed the u.s. attorney by president bush on september 11th, 2001, and the next day. and it happened in my state. >> it was an impressive retort to rand paul. but was it all true? true? many wrinkle creams come with high hopes

i agree, i think rubio and kasich did the most good for their campaigns. the one that surprised me was walker because i thought walker would end up in the same category as rubio. but i thought he avoided every question he was asked. he gave short remarks that were scripted out of his speeches. so what i felt was impressive about rubio's performance the most is that he got thrown a couple of curves. and so right there on the spot, national audience, hot lights, he did it gracefully. he showed some of the talent we always have heard about so i think that's another reason rubio did well and one reason that i thought walker kind of faded a little bit amongst the crowd. john: and chris christie had three different back and forths. one which we've seen on the question of surveillance and the use of surveillance to track terrorists. he was forceful but not excessively bullying in that back and forth. i think he and senator paul got what they both needed. senator paul's crowd loved what they heard. although that group is not probably going to leave. but christie,
