brian tells us the new things fans will notice when the giants host the oakland a's. >>reporter: well the baseball season doesn't get the underway until next year, there's a lot of anticipation. in terms of what the fans will notice when they come to the ballpark, from food to safety improvements to new rules, we'll talk about that. as for tonight, begins the last tuneup games for the a's and giants before the season starts. one of the biggest chains is for people both players and fans, who use chewing tobacco or smokeless tobacco. they will be breaking the law if they use it. an ordnance that passed in may of last year, banning smokeless tobacco at all athletic facilities in san francisco took effect. they told the mercury use that while they will comply with the law, they don't necessarily agree with it. first time offenders can be fined up to $100, the fine goes up to $250 for a second violation. and if the team plans on posting signs to let fans know about the rule. governor brown signed into law a similar bill at all state's major league parks next year. >> at th
