but it does take you from downtown oakland all the way through west oakland. and then it goes up to some of the neighborhoods in north oakland. rock ridge, through montclair. it's a scenic area. challenging for the runners. it goes down international boulevard and here to where we are. and it looks like one of the first runners starting on this half marathon. the half marathon goes through a lot of different neighborhoods as well. you can see a guy on the pa system talking about how we're just a little less than 20 seconds away from the start. you can see the runners lining up. they have their watches ready. a lot of people here in the crowd ready to cheer a lot of these runners on. a lot of the people that we talked to told us about what they love taking part in the event is that the neighborhoods support them. there they go. half marathon runners starting their run this morning. so the oakland running festival. the half marathon starting just now. we brought it to you live. after this, this is the last big event. and then after this, a couple hours from now,
