we think some of them are coming from panama city that weren't going there this year. thought they'd avoid panama city's crackdown on drinking are finding out the daytona beach area is not putting up with drinking or underaged partiers. living room is about everywhere you -- law enforcement is about everywhere you look. >> the large majority of the group is cordial, complaint to what we want. you always have that group that doesn't want to be complaint. >> reporter: among the arrests are underaged drinkers, litterers, and those who refuse to comply. if you're warned about alcohol on the beach, your name goes into a database, and the second offense means a trip to jail. but patrollers have to be selective. >> if we were arresting everybody, we couldn't do the rest of our job. >> reporter: and officers aren't sure how crowded it's going to be next week when this group of spring breakers leave. if it's just as crowded, they'll enforcement on the beach. >>> the united states has officially declared that isis is committing genocide. the group is targeting christians, yazidis, and shiites.

police now confirming a student from indiana died while on vacation in panama city beach. 20-year-old tyler gillmore fell from a parking garage early yesterday morning. his body was found just before 1:00 sunday morning. his friends say he had been drinking all day saturday. and according to investigators he was seen intoxicated about discovered. police say they don't believe that anybody else is involved in gillmore's death. we have seen heightened concern this time of year in panama city beach after a shooting, alleged gang rape and other incidents drew national attention during spring break last year. numerous ordinances were passed hoping to make spring break safer including a ban on the beach throughout the month of march. >>> a 56-year-old man now facing charges for a hit-and- run crash that left a bicyclist with life threatening injuries. a tip from the public led police to this man, joseph ragsdale and his damaged pickup truck. he's accused of hitting a 22- year-old man early saturday at 30th avenue east and 50th street north. the victim is fighting for his life in the hospita
