garrett haake on the scene with the latest. >> reporter: police have just cleared the scene in front of the liquor store where all of this happened a few hours ago. police say a single attacker shot four people in front of that store this afternoon and just now we are getting our first look at what police are calling a person of interest in this case, likely the suspect himself. take a look at these photos released from surveillance camera. you see a single man there in a black hoodie, blue jeans, his face almost completely covered. that is the description we received from police as well. the suspected shooter in this case, after an can american male -- african-american male thought to be seen on that surveillance video. police say that man walked down north capitol street up to the liquor store and opened fire shooting the first victim several times. police chief kathy lanier telling us earlier at a news conference she thought it seemed likely that person was the initial target. the shooter then also shooting three other men who were in front of the store before fleeing. all of thos

garrett tenney is reporting live from west virginia. garrett? >> reporter: arthel, this cleanup process is going to take months, and the recovery process for some will take even longer. this creek right here, this shows you how dangerous flash flooding is. three days ago, within just a few minutes, this water rose more than ten feet. right here, this used to be a bridge connecting this home's driveway to the main road. as soon as these waters rose up the stream, it took several houses. took them off their foundations and brought them down the water, destroying the bridge along with a car as well. one of those homes belonged to diana sanders. this is her right here as she's going through what's left of her home here all along the creek. she epitomizes the loss of so many across west virginia. her husband was inside one of those homes. he is one of the 24 people that have been killed. i asked her, what is it like, within minutes, how can you handle that losing your home, your car, all of your belongings, and your husband as well? >> one minute at
