. >> police surrounded a car crash in san leandro. kris sanchez is live with what we know so far. >> reporter: it's a carjacking. we definitely saw skid marks as we were driving up bancroft avenue. then we saw the skid marks and then we saw where the car ce to crash. this is the guardrail that would protect you from a vehicle if you were waiting as a pedestrian for the light to change. there is no way that that car would have been drivable. we just saw it being taken away on a flatbed truck this morning. the tires were point in the wrong direction. the windshield was smashed out. this is how the chase ended but the three suspects being loaded into the ambulance. after they're checked out they will be taken into custody. but before police had suspects out of the car safely they did have to apreach with guns drawn because the officers were not sure whether those three suspects were armed. a k-9 assisted in the apprehension of the three suspects and police describe as dramatic beginning as the end. police say the suspects allegedly car j

two people are under arrest, one still outstanding n san leandro, anne makovec, kpix 5, in san leandro. >>> a woman in vallejo says she had her car stolen not once but twice by the same man of. it was first stolen tuesday in front of her house with her purse and credit cards in the trunk. she tracked fraudulent charges on those cards to a store. surveillance video shows a man and woman trying to use multiple cars. next day the owner of the car used her key remote to find and she did ablock from her house. the same man from the video came running out of a neighbor's home. i'm screaming, you stole my car. he was punching and digging me. i was reaching for the keys. he said, if you want to live and you don't want to die and don't want to get shot you better get out of this car. >> the thief knocked her to the ground ran her over. the man in the car was gone by the time police got there. >>> rohnert park is looking for people with a hunting bow. a family says their male cat came home last week with a wound from a bow or crossbow arrow. the cat is recovering. but the family and public safet

new this morning, a manhunt in san leandro has ended with several suspects being detained. a reported carjacking in hayward. now, we just got this video in. you're looking at this into our newsroom from where the vehicle was recovered near 14th and bancroft. look at these pictures. the incident reportedly started with a carjacking outside of a toys "r" us store in hayward. after crashing the vehicle, the suspects fled into a nearby neighborhood. police went door to door until finally they say they captured the suspects. now, police are not giving us a lot of details right now but ktvu's brian flores is on his  way there. brian will have more on what happened out there coming up in the 6:00 hour. >>> and this morning b.a.r.t. says it still has a ways to go before cameras are installed on all of its trains. ktvu's janine de la vega is at the fremont b.a.r.t. station with the story about replacing fake surveillance cameras. janine. >> reporter: yeah, it won't happen until next year and if you remember back in january b.a.r.t. admitted that most of the cameras on its trains w

the alameda county sheriff office has recovered one of the trailers that was stolen in san leandro. the trailer seen here was recovered in oakland. the $50,000 refrigerated trailer is used for activities including a project to grow vegetables on donated lots. a tip led sheriff deputies last night to a place that looks like a den for stolen items. police found other trailers suspected to have been stolen as well. two people were arrested while another person is on the loose. >>> san leandro police say that good samaritan was trying to stop a man who wanted to kidnap a woman on her way to work. the would-be kidnapper jumped out of his car, knocked the woman down, knocked her down, doused her with pepper spray and tried to drag her into his car. >> he said he was going to do something and was looking for the right victim. >> a good samaritan who was driving by jumped out of his car and saved the young woman despite being pepper sprayed himself. the suspect trove off in a late nissan four-during sedan with silver spoke wheels and tainted windows. he is described as an african men 5'10",
