patrick: several car fires were reported overnight. here's a look at video from the milwaukee journal sentinel, showing one of those car fires communities were also alert overnight. thema: wisn 12 news had crews in mayfair mall in wauwatosa this morning. police were set up at every building entrance. officials tell us they received threats about the mall on social media. they responded as a precaution. at this point, it is not seen as though the run the actual incidents. patrick: overnight, and learned -- we learned that multiple squad cars were damaged and one officer was injured. the vehicle's windshield was smashed. police say at least three squads were damaged, two of them had broken windows. an officer was hurt when a brick went through the window. another squad car was set on fire. thema: the milwaukee sheriff's office has been working with the police department all night to try to keep the peace. the shares office says shifts our extended and deputies will remain on scene to assist in providing order. other resources like the wa

patrick: we begin with 12 news nick bohr. nick, the rain h >> i saw it for myself as we were driving west on capitol drive in the midst of the heaviest rain air and water blowing out of the storm sewers so hard it was lifting the manhole covers right off. we were able to pull over and get some video just as dpw crews were responding and replacing the covers after the rain subsided a bit. the downpour totaled more than an inch and a half here in about a half the mmsd rain gauge hour. the storm sewers couldn't drain fast enough leading to some , flash flooding, with most drivers opting to plow their way through. here at 20th and capitol, the waters rose over the curb and into the fruit and watermelon stand that's stood here for decades. >> it actually flooded by my watermelon stand. you can see right there. it looked like a little waterfall. as you can see, the stand is rain. >> dpw tells us they're continuing to respond to surface ponding issues with more than 40 calls for service so far. it hit both sides of the city equally
