the one you see her at the barracks in south boston. so this cruiser apparently was stolen from the massachusetts department of transportation maintenance facility on d street in south boston. it happened this morning. the cruiser was in the service yard for engine problems and it was taken again by someone this morning and once state police figured this out they deactivated the cruiser's radio system and an important reminder is once they realized that it was taken, they shut all of wanted people to know that there were no guns on board, no weapons on board this car because they said that this cruiser, which is marriaged, is not assigned it a specific trooper. it's a replacement vehicle in case a trooper has to get a loaner so to speak. so again, no weapons were on board this car, no damage was done to the suv. the big question now is figuring out how a state police trooper vehicle can be taken from a mass facility. there are surveillance cameras on site. this investigation is ongoing. that's the latest live in south boston, i'm nick e

heather: a new complaint from the organizers of south boston's st. patrick's day parade. ed: organizers claims mayor walsh strong-armed them into inviting an lgbt group to march in the parade. that's according to the herald. the south boston veterans council claims the mayor threatened to withhold necessary permits. it's just part of a lawsuit filed back in march, accusing the mayor and boston police commissioner bill evans of violating the group's constitutional right. the mayor is denying the allegations. commissioner bill bratton announcing today he is stepping down. he had been expected to stay on through next year's mayoral election. his last day will be next month to take a job in the private sector. bratton has twice served as new york city's police commissioner. he's also been the l.a. police chief, and boston's police commissioner in the early 90's. ed: a new group will be keeping tabs on plymouth's embattled nuclear power plant as it prepares to permanently shut down. a panel of state energy experts, legislators, local officials and residents will ensure that pu

children are returning to a south boston day camp aer last week. fox25's jessica reyes is live near the curly community center this morning where, jess, campers and counselors will be greeted with some noticeable changes there. >> reporter: right, daniel. that camp will reopen at the curly community center in just a couple of hours at 10:00 this morning. it was closed for a week now following the drowning death of 7-year-old kazr willis. right now when we saw what we people have been coming by leaving flowers and stuffed animals in his memory. a meet fog go over safety and security changes. mayor marty walsh was at that meeting and says those changes will go into effect this morning. >> sad that it takes a horrific event to bring change. and i think as we move forward for the rest of the summer how the change is working. >> reporter: and among the changes going into place today, the camp will n a new head count procedure. a new front desk staffing policy requiring parents to sign children in and out, and new child-staff ratio including a ratio of 1
