why a green bay high school is getting rid of a homecoming tradition this year. and animal overload. the number of dogs in need of a forever home in one wisconsin community. an animal shelter in appleton is trying to find homes for dozens of dogs, all rescued from one home.an elderly man recently contacted the shelter saying he was no longer able to take care of some 50 dogs that lived at his house.saving paws says the man did the right thing by asking for help. they're continuing to provide food for the dogs still in the home.and since the encounter, the animal shelter has been removing three to five dogs house. "it's not something that happened on purpose, it just kind of got out of control and becomes something that you're ashamed of and you don't want to reach out for help."with the majority of the dogs in good health, saving paws has been able to adopt out about twenty of the animals --and it's still looking for forever homes for about a dozen a green bay high school is eliminating a homecoming tradition in an effort to be more inclusive of all students. wes
