i'm dan ashley. >> i'm ama daetz. the injured officer is expected to survive. it happened around 3:30 this afternoon in the ocean view neighborhood at montana street and capital avenue. >> dan: lisa amin gulezian is live where the injured officer is recovering. lisa? >> reporter: he is here and so is the suspect. the suspect is in critical condition at this hour. police continues to gather evidence after a chp officer part of a stolen vehicle task force is hurt. >> there were some abrasions as well as minor head injury. >> reporter: we were at san francisco general when the injured officer arrived. he was allegedly hit by the suspect's gold honda accord which also smashed into the home. then witnesses say this happened. >> she heard one of the officerses on the m gee a phone saying for the suspects to get out of their vehicle. and that's when she heard a shooting happen. >> reporter: police fired at least eight shots at the stolen car which the task force spot immediate san mateo county. >> the suspect and the person driving the suspect vehicle drive this direc
