[cheering] ms. clinton: when i was in the senate, i worked with practically every republican i served with. and you know, they always have nice things to say about me when i'm not running for something. and i will work again to move our country forward and to change the economy so it works better for hard-working people. and when i was secretary of state, we negotiated a treaty with russia to lower nuclear weapons, to try to lower the threat of that. and we had to get 13 republicans, and i worked tirelessly. we got them. we did that. there's a lot we can do if we start listening and respecting each other, and avoid the kind

ms. raddatz: secretary clinton. ms. clinton: thank you for asking a question. i have heard this question from a lot of muslim-americans from across our country because unfortunately, there has been a lot of very divisive, dark things said about muslims, and ,ven some of like captain khan the young man sacrificing himself defending our country in the united states army has been subject to attacks by donald. i want to say a couple things. first, we have had muslims since george washington. we have had many successful muslims, we just lost it particularly well known one with muhammad ali. america is in america where everyone has a place if you are willing to work hard, do your part, contribute to the community. that is what america is and that is what we want america to be for our children and grandchildren. it is also very shortsighted and even dangerous to the in gauging and the type of rhetoric donald has about muslims. to bed american muslims part of our eyes and ears, on the frontlines. i have worked with a lot of different muslim groups around america. i hav

[cheering] ms. clinton: really? and you know, yesterday, some of his supporters said, well, it just shows he's a genius. that he didn't pay any taxes. well, what kind of genius loses a billion dollars in the first place? [cheering] you know, in the debate, he said not paying taxes made him smart. but think about what that means. it means that all the rest of us who pay our taxes, right, what's he saying about us? but more than that, zero taxes means zero for our vets, zero for our military, zero for pell -- for pell grants to send young people to college, zero for health, zero for education, and you stop and ask yourself, this is the same person who's been going around really just dumping on america. he says our military is a disaster. well, he could not be more wrong but thank goodness the rest of us paid to support our men and women in uniform who have done so much for us. [cheering and applause] ms. clinton: today in colorado, he claimed he brilliantly used the laws to avoid paying taxes. well, t

ms. clinton: so, so, let's remember what's at stake. i'm running against a guy who denies science, denies climate change, says it is a hoax created by the chinese. so this is something that al gore has been working on for a really long time. and i want you to know how far back he goes. it was in 1982 when he held the very first hearing on climate change in the house of representatives. with the world famous climate scientist, jim hansen. then when he became a senator, he continued to raise the alarm and look for solutions. and as vice president, he led america's effort to negotiate the kyoto protocol to cut greenhouse gas emissions. [applause] ms. clinton: you take all of us together, those 30 years of , led al gore to be awarded the nobel peace prize in 2007. [applause] ms. clinton: i was very proud because he had been determined and persistent, and in the face of a lot of people in public life, in business and elsewhere who were trying to diminish the importance of the science he , never wavered. and in the years since, the climate ch
