lets go to adam joseph with the update on the forecast. >> i can't concentrate now. my stomach is growling. >> bacon. if you are watching in the newsroom, save four, if you look at stormtracker 6 live double scan we have a few showers in southern parts there of cape may county. that was the first line that passed through barely dampening the ground and a second line to the north with the actual cold front now slicing through the lehigh valley kind of straddling along interstate 78 all the way from easton and as you head toward hamburg, those will continue to sink to the south quick heavy downpours with these and strong, gusty winds and if you close in here bethlehem and market street, the heavy downpour is sinking to the south there now and also sinking just to the south of interstate 22 there, just to the north of downtown allentown. if you look at the temperatures there, tropping to the north 70 in allentown and reading and lower 70s at atlantic city airport. 73 there and 73 for dover. they did make it into the 80s before the first shower passed through in delaware

lets head outside to adam joseph. barely any sunshine out there now. >> reporter: the clouds quickly increased here ahead of a warm front pushing in and temperatures today are warmer than yesterday. we are at 60 degrees right now in philadelphia. but even warmer temperatures -- take a look at the numbers, 60 in philadelphia, 61 in washington, and again pittsburgh 76 degrees behind that warm front, 80 in charleston, west virginia and cincinnati 78. and look at the warmth waiting in the wings that is beginning to pull up from the south and west. and nashville right now 87 degrees and the frontal boundary supplying clouds as we go through the overnight hours. it stays cloudy between 7:00 and 11:00. temperatures fall but only a degree or two between the 7:00 and 11:00 hour. and the low tonight not much farther south than that. 54 at 11:00 and dipping to 51 by morning. so for the next few days temperatures go back into the 70s to near 80 degrees, thursday afternoon we watch for gusty thunderstorms much like here on sunday

meteorologist, adam joseph, is tracking the situation as we await the arrival of a cold front adam what is the latest from accuweather. >> the cold front is pulling in waepa air, these temperatures rise over the next few hours, that will support the poss riility of a thunderstorm around the midnight hour when the cold front passes through and right now we start to see the radar quickly light up. a low level jet that is energy that is puncturing into the atmosphere scraping philadelphia but concentrated steadier rain in chester and parts of montgomery county. we'll wait a few hours before the actual front comes through to bring a round of heavy, steady rain and the possibility of a thunderstorm. there it is down in western virginia and the panhandle of virginia. and all of what is sweeping here through the next several hours. brehead of it 60 degrees, mild right now and look to the south and you see how the numbers are jumping in richmond, charlotte, raleigh and charles son, south carolina. uppergini0s to low 7mond and sh hit somewhere in the upper 60s prior to the midnight hour. right a
