matt pelman now standing by in the "action news" traffic center with a look at our monday. hey, matt. >> why not start it off on a busy way as we head home brian and sharrie. already got some craziness going on in chester county where the eastbound lanes of the pennsylvania turnpike are now shut down because of an accident that just happened a little bit ago between downingtown route 100 and malvern there at route 29 the e-z pass only interchange temporarily all eastbound lanes are blocked. westbound you have a gaper delay. so let's talk alternates. 30 bypass or if you're getting right off the turnpike 100 down to the 30 bypass to 202 on back to the turnpike. eastbound turnpike is blocked at this in our chester county because of a crash. now, just a bit to the south in tredyffrin township a downed tree and wires from an accident along 252. southbound lanes mostly blocked. 29 can help you get you around that. and on the big picture, no shortage of red zones already on this monday afternoon. some of them just volume like on 95, 13 miles per hour. coming off the schuylkill we'

it's foggy out there matt pelman. i know you're starting on 295. >> yeah, we're not seeing very easily with all the fog but what i think you can see, tam, are all these headlights and brake lights along 295. this is near 561. >>> we have a new northbound accident here. looks like an ambulance is on the scene. northbound stacked up but the southbound travel time is even worse. 34 minutes. that's because of a crash southbound by 42 freeway. now pushed off to the right shoulder but wow are we ever jammed the. bottom line just avoid 295 if you can. if you stick with evesham road, the turnpike, kings highway or even 130 and there's a disabled truck on 73 southbound past 295. in wilmington our crash on 95 southbound past 202 is gone but still speeds just in the teens. i would use 495 southbound instead and this is 95 in the great northeast. heavy southbound from academy to cottman but a disabled vehicle there is gone. tam. >> okay, thank you, matt. >>> we'll take a short break and come back to accuweather. >> ♪ >> good mo

. >> let's go matt pelman live in the "action news" traffic center. >> we're thinking red white and blue on this veterans day 2016. seeing some red brake lights on the blue route southbound but a whole lot of white headlight coming northern northbound from villanova through this point at norristown up to the pennsylvania turnpike. it's a slow crawl and that's because the turnpike eastbound is parked this evening from valley forge out to approaching fort washington, that's where we still have a crash taking out the right lane. single digit speeds in that stretch near norristown just 5 miles per hour and there's also a westbound gaper delay so a mess on the turnpike spilling down onto the blue route which is also spilling onto the schuylkill expressway. getting into norristown is tough on 202 right now because northbound at the danne hower bridge there's a crash and airy street is closed in norristown because of that fire location main street an alternate. big backups on the northbound roosevelt boulevard extension coming off the schuylkill past wissahickon but that disabled vehicle there

. >> matt pelman in the "action news" traffic center. how was your weekend matt. >> weekend was good. we had a parade of people this evening trying get home on the pennsylvania turnpike in chester county and they've been parked rick and monica, because of an eastbound accident east of downingtown. it's an improvement though. now the crash is off to the shoulder so both lanes are opened. you still have slowing though, in both directions. however, at this point i think i'd stick with the turnpike 'cause the alternate routes including the 30 bypass are jammed with detouring traffic sun glare and normal afternoon volume. several accidents in delco one in ridley township involves a pedestrian along holme road at macdade boulevard. also fire department activity right along route one township line road at lansdowne avenue by the kohl's and plenty of slowing on 95 as you can see southbound in south philadelphia we had a broken down vehicle and this crash on the uptick of the girard point bridge so it's extra heavy coming down from the walt whitm

. >> matt pelman in the "action news" traffic center. happy friday to you, matt. >> same to you. i've got a couple marathons scheduled this weekend but they're all of the dvr variety. as we look at the big picture it's a sprint to get home on a friday evening. blue route a red zone southbound it's a long one because of an earlier crash by the route one media bypass much we have that awful accident there dan and dan was telling us about in overbrook at 63rd and lansdowne. >>> you wants to stick with 61st instead of 63rd. police activity in north philadelphia. avoid the area around tenth and ogden and lots of red along 95 just 9 miles per hour due in part to this, a broken down vehicle right here in the northbound right lane by the exit for allegheny avenue. it's a parking lot coming north of washington avenue near penn's landing through this point at allegheny. on 95 in delaware our northbound crash by 141 is gone but there was another in the backlog by churchman's road. swedesboro still have that overturned truck blocking the ramp to connect 322 eastbound with 295 southbound. >>>

. >> let's go live to matt pelman in the "action news" traffic center keeping a close eye on the roads and the railways today. hi, matt. >> but things are definitely looking up at least from where they were when i last saw you last week, brian and sharrie. here's where things stand at the moment. all of the septa city bus routes have resumed service but it's not completely total service. limited service across-the-board on all of those septa city bus routes. full service back in business by tomorrow the broad street subway running again. right now trains running every 10 minutes. on the broad ridge spur it's every 20 minutes. that service resumed at noon today. market frankford line is back up and running bullet not quite as frequently as normal. every six minutes is your service there right now with no stops at fifth street and independence mall. that's because of the clinton rally tonight. more on that in just a second and trolleys also resumed service but again, it's limited service. full service should be running by tomorrow. on the septa regional rails it's looking a whole lot bet

. >> that's go to matt pelman live in the "action news" traffic center to see how it's rolling out there. >> glass half full approach rick and monica, as this is a whole lot better than last week. the problem is it's still not perfect. we are still seeing a bunch of delays. not as bad as they were last week when so many extra people were using them in lou of the city services but delays, one 20 minutes on the lansdale doylestown line 568 terminating at lansdale not going the whole way to doylestown. city services are running again just not as frequently as they normally would. market frankford line running every six minutes this afternoon. normally it would be about every four minutes and it's not stopping at fifth street independence mall that's because of preparations for the big clinton rally tonight and there's already a box of streets that are all blocked off. it's arch down chestnut seventh over to fourth. that blockage is causing gridlock that's spilling back onto the vine street expressway. we have a lot of police officers out here in this area of olde city tonight and don't forg

. >> matt pelman in the "action news" traffic center monday night. how was the weekend? >> weekend was great but i'm wishing things were a little quieter on the roads. that would be nice rick and monica. a crash on 95 once again in the work zone southbound by cottman avenue. the good news is just as katherine was wrapping up they cleared the accident from the southbound left lane so just cleared within the last minute. the bad news is it's still a parking lot coming south from just past woodhaven through this point at cottman. should start to improve in just a little bit. and we're improving here. we had a broken down vehicle near paoli on 202 southbound gave us a delay which we're not used to anymore since we got that third lane each way on 202. but the dv has cleared out of the way. in lower pottsgrove a crash to avoid along bleim road. i would use swamp pike or book erode instead. big delays on 295 southbound from mount laurel down to haddon heights. there was southbound crash by the black horse pike but luckily that, too, is gone. so we're on the upswing. we'll check

matt pelman is standing by in the "action news" traffic center getting us home ready for the weekend. hey, matt. >> we sure are and because of the veterans day holiday things were a little bit quieter than normal on the roads this morning brian and sharrie but by now everybody is up and about and out and about and that means we do have some issues like a broken down vehicle here on the roosevelt boulevard extension. this is northbound between wissahickon avenue and broad street. you can see the broken down van there sitting in the left lane. police are out here helping out. but for now just the right lane is getting by. so, we are extra jammed coming northbound on the boulevard extension off the schuylkill on up to that point. and we started the rush hour with a big problem on the tacony palmyra bridge. some police activity had it blocked off entirely. they just cleared that police activity so the bridge just reopened. it's still jammed on both sides but go ahead, if you're willing to sit through the jam you can use the bridge once again. 95 at broad street is looking a little dark ac
