wmur's kristen carosa is live in nashua to explain. kristen: adam, the process to bring a safe station program to nashua started in january and now the city is ready to help people looking for recovery. as you said, nashua is following in manchester's footsteps, which launched their safe station program in may. the mayor developed a drug task force earlier this year and that happen. the program encourages people suffering from addiction to walk into any fire station to get the help they need. the person will be evaluated and then handed over to a 24-7 treatment and recovery center. here in nashua, officials will be working with harbor homes and keystone hall, organizations that will help make that happen. amr ambulance, southern new hampshire medical center, and st. joe's hospital will also be they have had to administer narcan. >> we get them to a medical facility and at that point we kind of lose track of them. with the model we have in place, there is a better shot of getting somebody from that point into a recovery program. and eve

erin: a nashua woman is accused of robbing someone at knife-point. police say 55-year-old kathleen caron robbed a person at a home on temple street on tuesday night. officers say caron and the victim do know each other. at last check, caron was being a manchester man has been sentenced to five years behind bars for robbing a bank. 44-year-old andrew michael dufresne held up the people's united bank on elm street back in 2014. he handed the teller a note, before reaching into the drawer and grabbing several bundles of cash. a couple days later, dufresne was arrested in methuen, massachusetts after crashing a stolen car. sean: a fire that destroyed hundreds of acres in the white mountain national forest is now tuesday's rain helped firefighters get the upper hand on "the covered bridge fire." the cause of the fire is under investigation. but officials say it was likely caused by a human. crews will continue to monitor hotspots over the next several days. the forest service is asking people to stay away from the area until the fire is completely out. er

increase in overdoses last month, much smaller than nashua's 73% jump. sean: former state representative kyle tasker has been arrested again, this time for allegedly causing a crash while driving drunk. police say tasker slammed into a car that was stopped at a red light in rochester tuesday afternoon, causing a chain reaction. no one was hurt. tasker is now charged with dwi, and this morning he is free on bail. but that could change. tasker may have his bail revoked from his arrest back in marc violated two of his bail conditions -- good behavior and consumption of alcohol. erin: the retrial of convicted murderer gary sampson continues in federal court in boston today. sampson killed two men from massachusetts and one man from new hampshire back in 2001. he was handed the death sentence for the massachusetts murders, but was later granted a new trial for his sentence only. the jury for his retrial will decide if sampson gets life in prison without parole or the death penalty. sampson had excessive head injuries growing up, which affected his decision ma
