this is the same nicu closed for two months not long ago. prince georges county bureau chief tracy wilkins is live at the hospital. what should people make of this? >> reporter: we are trying to figure this out. we do know if there are parents who believe they may have an at-risk pregnancy and th should not bring them to prince georges hospital center until this is straightened out. we learned today two babies tested positive. so once again the prince georges hospital center decided to shut down the nicu. those babies tested positive for a possibly deadly bacteria for babies. especially babies with weakened immune systems. today we watched as an ambulance from children's national medical center transported the last of hospital center nicu. hospital spokesman say they began transporting babies this morning just after 8:00 a.m. this, again, after two babies tested positive. this happened in august. two babies died and we are told they tested positive for that bacteria. we were never made clear exactly what it was that killed the two babies. we

we're learning new details about the county hospital center's nicu unit. this week, you'll recall two babies tested positive for the potentially dangerous pseudomonas bacteria. meagan fitzgerald with the new information for us. >> yeah, jim, right now, we're told cdc officials are inside the hospital now trying to is coming from because health officials tell us they have no idea. but as you mentioned, this week, wednesday, two babies tested positive. we're now learning that one of them is suffering from symptoms. >> we did focused water treatments and then housewide water treatments and that water treatment has continued since the problem in the water system was revealed. and we have done subsequent treatment and testing all along questions around how infant babies, many of whom are struggling to survive, were able to contract pseudoammons twice in the last three months. the first cases were seen in august. the nicu closed for nearly 60 days after three babies tested positive for the bacteria. officials say the bacteria was living in the water supply. sinc

the hospital reopened the nicu on october 4th after multiple independent test results indicated that there was no identified presence of the bacteria in the water supply. you might be asking, so how did it get back? where did it come from? officials at the hospital, they released a press release earlier looking into that. they don't know at this point. we were told boy a hospital spokesperson, no new information tonight. possibly something new to report tomorrow. we did call the county executives office, baker's spokesperson told us that the county executive is aware of all of this but did not comment further. shawn, tony? >> is it correct that the days are numbered for that hospital? >> tony, i think that i h not going to be much longer. they are building another hospital not too far away from here at largo they're hoping in 2017. it will be a long project and expected to be completed patients moving in by 2020. one other side note that the county executive's office pointed out. the company that run this george's county hospital. instead, the university of maryland medical systems,
