in phoenix, i'm phoenix, i'm meteorologist kim quintero. cloudy skies are in the forecast for sunday before a pacific storm system moves into arizona. subtropical moisture ahead of the storm is pumping into the state from the south. this is producing clouds and virga, or rain that evaporates before it hits the surface, during the morning and early afternoon hours. humidity is also increasing. by 2 p.m. sunday, we're bringing rain chances into rain is likely starting sunday evening and continuing through mid-morning monday. a half inch of rain is possible for valley communities, with the mountains northeast and northwest of metro phoenix possibley recieving about 1.50" of rain. snow levels are expected to drop to about 9000 ft. sunday evening, then lower to about 6500 ft. west of flagstaff monday afternoon, and 7500 ft. east of flagstaff. the flagstaff area may recieve about one to two inches of snow monday afternoon and evening. winter driving conditions are expected. southwesterly winds will become breezy monday across the state. daytime h
