big fire burning at a salvage yard in richmond. this is happening at a place called steel auto wrecking on richmond parkway. closed in both directions right there. could be a distraction from people from the north bay to east bay, but there are concerns of air quality in this area as well. it's out of control right now, we know the bay area air quality officials are on site assessing. haven't made any declarations just yet, but something we're certainly watching. chevron tweeting out it is not the richmond refinery. there were concerning of that as people see the thick black smoke billowing into the sky. here's another concern for firefighters in the area as well. winds could be a factor for this fire that has been burning for 45 minutes at least. a look at wind conditions for us. >>> you can tell the smoke is being blown by the wind. we've had gusts up to 15-20 miles an hour and expected to get stronger as we go through the day. coming in from the west and northwest. blowing that smoke off to southeast. keep an eye on that. >> onc
