and just slightly below that in portions like ben lomond. so good morning, everybody. we still have the rain but we are keeping a watchful eye on the russian river in the guerneville area where it did crest as anne was saying on this past tuesday. it's already one foot above flood stage cresting at about 37 feet at 11 a.m. so with that kind of forecast, you know there will be moderate flooding in the area. also mentioned in central sonoma county, that red highlighted area, that is a flood warning in effect for the mark west creek also the town of santa rosa, also all of sebastopol, graton and cotati. we have a lot of flooding going on there and it's still raining. a break in the north bay now. east bay with moderate to heavy rainfall around the tassajara area, blackhawk, diablo, also towards concord, clayton and walnut creek. we also have the rain showers just moving out of the 580/680 corridor heading towards discovery bay and in brentwood. spotty scattered showers now around santa clara, mission san jose. mostly cloudy in san francisco looking due east towards oaklan

the threat of the san lorenzo river flooding is something residents live with in felton, ben lomond. in some spots such as this one in boulder creek, the river current looks menacing with the power of an unbridled horse racing toward the finish line or in this case toward the mouth of the pacific ocean next to the santa cruz boardwalk. in felton grove, a small uncl f unclaif -- enclave, they put up barriers. the river is not a good indication of the river rising. instead they look at towns upstream. >> it might be doing this here and pounding up there so that's where it really matters. it's all the stuff coming down the river. >> reporter: so how prepared are you for this one? >> oh, i've got nothing that can get wet this time except for my place. so if my place gets wet, i just hose it out. so yeah, i'm prepared. >> reporter: the super saturated soil nearby couldn't keep this tree firmly rooted. it slid and blocked the road which has been blocked for a week by earlier storm damage. storm water has created some striking sights in the form of water falls cascading down hillsides, flow

ben lomond, boulder cream, when the heaviest rain arrives during the afternoon hours, that's when we are anticipating flooding on top of current heavy rain. the highlands very wet, san mateo bridge also a nasty morning commute. just got a report out of sfo, two-hour 46-minute delays on some arriving flights. city of san francisco, definitely wet this morning from chinatown back through the mission district. now, when you see the areas of red that encompasses for the most part sonoma and napa counties. that's where we have a flood warning in effect, with flooding occurring. yellow is flash flood watch. as you step out the door, there will be ponding on the roads. there will be some ponding on the sidewalks and downed trees. rock and mudslides very strong possibilities. this is the scene again looking towards the golden gate bridge where you can pick up the sheets of rain very showery in nature but being driven by wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour. it's balmy out the door into the 50s and 60s. the winds have been blowing up to 45 at sfo now to 37 hours. 31 in san francisco. rim of the

lomond in the screws mountains could pick up an inch. now here we are into monday night and take a look at some of these rainfall amounts, an inch and a half for san jose but 4 inches protected for oakland -- projected for oakland, 5 inches projected for san rafael. yesterday we were looking at three, maybe 4 inches for our urban areas, we could see more than that. areas like the santa cruz mountains could pick up anywhere from five to 7 inches by tuesday morning. this is going to be a major storm. giving you a look at the temperatures right now, 49 in san francisco, 51 in oakland, 48 san jose, afternoon highs for today upper 50s to near 60, so temperatures not changing a whole lot but we will not have the sunshine today. we are going to have plenty of the cloud cover and the scattered showers and then as we get into monday, you know, just be prepared, it's going to be coming down, tuesday we will have -- we will remain with scattered showers in the forecast, a chance on wednesday, finally dry out on thursday. >> how much snow in the sie
