dubai authorities say crews successfully managed to evacuate the building, with no injuries reported. it's the second time the six—year—old 79—storey skyscraper has been hit by fire. in 2015, 100 apartments were severely damaged when a massive blaze swept through the tower. and it's the latest in a series of high—rise fires in dubai in recent years, including this inferno at the address downtown hotel that broke out on new year's eve in 2015. at the time, onlookers said the blaze tore up the side of the building in a matter of seconds. luckily, no—one was killed. many of dubai's tower fires have been blamed on the aluminium composite cladding on the outside of the building, a material that was only outlawed in the country in 2013. what started this latest blaze is yet to be determined, but once again it will bring the spotlight back on the safety. royal bank of scotland has reported its first half—year profit in three years. the bank, which is still predominantly owned by the taxpayer, made almost £940 million in the six months to the end ofjune, compared with a loss of Â
