(steve) and i'm steve aveson. tonight the search is on for two men who assaulted and robbed a woman. it happened around 11 p-m wednesday night near bryant street and el dorado avenue in palo alto kron-4's charles clifford talked to people who live in the area- --surprised by the brutal attack. well, bryant street here in palo alto is a very quiet street but late wednesdya evening one woman discovered that problems can even reach this quiet area. according to the palo alto police department, on wednesday just past 11pm, a woman in her 60s had parked here along bryant street outside the home of a relative. as she was unpacking items from her car two men approached her on foot. without warning one man hit her in the stomach and pushed her to the ground. the assailant then grabbed her purse and the two suspects fled south along bryant riding bicyclesduring the confrontation, a male relative of the victim emerged from the house and chased the men on foot but fell to the ground. both he and the victim received
