amy hollyfield joins us with how officials are feeling with this upcoming storm, amy. >> reporter: hi reggie, we have positive news to report to you this morning, they are not going to bring any extra city officials for this storm, they're not going to have workers out on patrol looking for mudslides or flooding, like they did for the previous storm that we have had. so that is a good sign that they are feeling positive about santa rosa's ability to handle this. that they feel prepared. santa rosa city crews did a lot of prep work at the beginning of the rainy season. they were very worried about a wet season and the flooding that that could cause to this burned out area. that didn't materialize which gave them extra time to work on damaged storm drains. now we have rain headed this way, but not a giant soaker and officials say, they think they will be fine. >> the size of the storm that we're anticipating, we feel good about this one. the city of santa rosa public works, streets departments, we'll have staff on hand and available, but we won't be upstaffing like we had earlier in the

reporter amy hollyfield is at chp headquarters in martinez. amy? >> reporter: hi, reggie. we just got an update from the chp and they tell us they do think the driver who caused this accident was drunk and they think he has driven drunk before. they tell us officer martin landway, a motorcycle officer, he was the one who was injured. he wasn't on his motorcycle at the time. he was standing out on the median investigating another crash when this happened. investigators say a chevy trail blazer came along, hit the parked motorcycle and then one of the trucks involved in the first crash, that truck landed on officer landway. two cars trying to avoid the motorcycle now in the middle of the road also crashed. quite a chain reaction out there. this happened last night around 6:15 on eastbound highway 4 in concord. they released the name of the driver they believed was drunk. 52-year-old tammy walker of pittsburg. she has been booked on several charges including driving on a suspended driver's license for a prior conviction. the officer has major injuries that are not life threat
