i personally have experience with avalon bay, the very difficult development company. we will have problems with them. this is just like the beginning, yes. it's a study. but that's how things start. and that's how development happens in this city. it starts with a study and then we build from that point on and on, developing facts that as you heard earlier from some of our public comment testimony that are not solid facts. this body transitions. supervisor yee will no longer be the supervisor. things get lost. i want to go on the record early. i believe avalon bay will create a lot of problems for us, those of us who have relationships in labor. many times our labor partners have come raising concerns that they haven't hired union labor to do the job. i'm talking something that is years down the line. but i just think that -- that funding -- that this is just not the right direction we need to go in and we need to re-evaluate. supervisor yee did a great job getting city college free. and now we have all these people that want to go there. we need to be mindful and res

check out this view from avalon, new jersey. you can barely make out the ocean. you see a few lights in the distance. can't see much of the beach. the visibility as come way down as the snow has intensified and the wind has picked up and it's even lower in millville. reporting zero visibility. the visibility is a great indication of the snow intensity, the heavier the snowfall, the lower the visibility. and these numbers will likely go lower this morning and we could still be in for some low visibilities during the day as the winds will be with us during the day. the end withes right now are steady at 20 miles per hour. millville, 28-mile-per-hour winds in dover and 24-mile-per-hour winds in atlantic city, but the gusts have been getting close to the 40-mile-per-hour mark for dover. 37-mile-per-hour gusts in atlantic city so it's going to be a snowy and windy day. the snow that's coming down has been heavier at the shore as expected and in southern delaware and the rest of the area. but that will spread moderate snowfall into philadelphia and the suburbs. you can

right at the shore at avalon, 30 degrees, 30 in atlantic city, and lots of 20s around for dennis township and that's not the only spot. everybody's in the 20s inland, south jersey, philadelphia, delaware, lee my valley and the subbushtss. uniform temperatures because of the steady wind that's blowing. unionville is 26, spring city, and just a couple degrees warmer for college hill, 25 in lansdale. so it's a cold one today for sure especially with that steady wind that's not going to let up during the afternoon. so our feels like temperatures, the wind chills are going to stay cool all day long. it will feel like 19 degrees at 4:30 this afternoon in allentown, 23 in vineland and 25 in philadelphia. as we go into the evening hours, the wind will die down a bit but the temperature will also be coming down because we have nice clear skies, which gives us plenty of sunshine during the day but cold nights. so we're in store for another cold night but you won't see anything falling from the sky, not today, not tonight, not tomorrow. the nearest showers are offshore and they're not coming anywher
