i just got a report that all jfk airlines have been suspended at jfk airport because the winds are gusting from 50 to 60 miles an hour. we were thinking around this time the storm would wobble to the left. it did and brought us big snowfall totals. it started in north florida. went up towards georgia and the carolinas bringing five inches of snow to the coastal carolinas. now the bomb has exploded across the atlantic going over the warm waters of the gulf scream and rapidly intensifying. we call it a bomb. it's at its peak now. a tremendous storm. tons of snow with this. in some cases 1 to 3 inches of snow an hour especially on eastern long island up towards cape cod and the islands. this is really the peak of the system. we'll see upwards of a foot or more especially eastern long island and eastern portions of new england. you can see it's really tough to see out there and that's why we have blizzard warnings in effect. people are urged to stay off the roadways. kids are off of school and non-essential folks need to be at home so we can get those essentials on the roadways to help if we n
