tax reform is the grinch that may steal your home price appreciation, this according to moody's analytics. home prices they say will decline across the country by 4% by the summer of 2019. the hit to home prices caused by tax reform will vary across the country, but no single county will escape some kind of price hit according to moody's. take a look at the color-coded map, very cool there. the red counties, mostly new york, california, handful of other states will fall as much as 6% over and above what prices would have done normally. so if prices were going up 10%, they are only going up 4%. if they go up 5%, they will decline 5%. you get the point. looking at other categories in the blue counties, vast majority of counties prices will fall two to 4%. mark zandi the fellow who wrote this, chief economist at moody's, he says house prices will suffer according to the tax plan. impact on house prices much greater for higher-priced homes especially in parts of country where incomes are higher and disproportionate itemizers with big mortgages and property tax bills. i'm told the silver linin

>> moody's is raising the worries around the credit boom. we have seen credit growth rising 18% last year. munis -- what moody's and the world bank have raised is that credit is rising to rapidly in the economy. i think the concern here is that vietnam, not too long ago, in 2012, at a banking crisis. that was led by the buildup of bad debt. i think, what these institutions like moody's are trying to flag comment is the worry that you could get another bubble and that could lead to a banking crisis. david: just to underscore your point, we are going to bring up a chart. you talked about bad debts. this is actually just debt as a percentage of gdp. a lot of the concern will depend on where all of that credit is actually going and whether or not it is justified. what is behind the credit boom and what are authorities doing about it? yeare central bank last cut interest rates, quite surprisingly. that is what was seen as a .ignal by the authorities they are focusing on that headline growth number. the government has a forecast gdp growth of abou
