. >> joining us live is meteorologist scott williams from fox 29 and scott, not just the snow, but you guys are expecting like 30, 40, 50 mile an hour wind gust out there. >>reporter: absolutely. good afternoon, mike and allie. we're bracing for blizzard conditions for the delaware beaches here and also for the jersey shore. this storm system has already begun taking shape along the carolina coastal sections dumping snow as far as charleston and savannah. that system is moisture loaded right now over the gulf stream waters. it has been antarctic blast here in philadelphia for the past week. temperatures have been below freezing so that cold polar air mass merging with that storm system over the gulf waters will create the bomogensis. we're talking 24 millibar pressure drops within 24 hours. so when the pressure drops, the storm intensifies and the winds become stronger as well. blizzard warnings will go into effect for part of our area. so that means we do anticipate the visibility to be reduced less than a quarter of a mile and winds gusting over 35 mile-per-hour for a long duration p

scott williams from fox in philly. the storm forced an airbus a-380, the largest passenger jet in the world to land in a tiny airport in new york. not j.f.k. or la guardia. lillian has details what is the name of this place? >> stuart airport. they tweeted out this picture of this huge jet. it was operated by singapore airlines. it left from frankfurt. had to be diverted. another picture from the airport. the runway is long enough for them but unfortunately for everybody on board, the gates are too small. so they had to deplane via an outdoor staircase and walk in in the middle of the blizzard. but all and all, not too bad in terms of travel. stuart airport is not far from j.f.k. the airline was working on getting some bus transportation. we got some video from inside the plane. people just hanging out. you can see just how crazy the wind and white-out outside. huge plane. lots of people just chilling. they made it. >> shepard: momma, we're going where? stewart, florida? that would be nice. good to see you. thank you.

let's talk about that with scott william. hey, scott. >> hi there kathy. location will be key. the most snow down the shore. the least amount of snowfall far north and west toward the pocono mountains much the height of the storm i think will be roughly between, say, 4:00 a.m. and 11am tomorrow. but some locations could see one to 2-inch rates per hour especially down the shore. winds gusting down the shore up to 50 miles an hour up to 40 miles an hour gusts inland and reduced visible less than quarter of a mile making for hazardous travel. so the bottom line with those snowfall totals, we're looking at four to 6-inches wilmington, philadelphia, moorestown, new jersey, glassboro, upper pitts grove, move toward millville, avalon, wildwood, atlantic city, brigantine, toms river, six to 10-inches of snow. so the bottom line a blizzard warning in effect for delaware beaches and the jersey shore gusts up to 50 miles an hour and power outages and behind this system, kathy, we're looking at even colder air that could set more records. isn't just incredible indeed. let's talk a little
