we're downslope from e it is sheared off. there is water percolating down the hillside. we're essentially in the middle of the debris field here. earlier this morning, we managed to find the hydrant that was sheared off. not a lot to see. just east bay barricades to indicate where the mud was. it ended with mud pouring down the area. a woman was driving down the street around 7:00 and hit the hydrant and that sent the water rushing down the hill and flooding into one home. because the water was on top of the hydrant, it was hard to turn it off. in all, it took workers about two hours to clear the car and turn off the water. too late for some of the people living downhill that say the water got deep quickly. >> the water from the last time i saw it, i was there 15, 20 minutes ago, it was almost waist deep. it was pretty big. i'm a big guy. i'm 6'5". it was crazy. >> reporter: the man tells us that the water came up with so much force that it actually lifted his bathtub off of the ground in the master bathroom. we have cell phone footage of the damage inside of the homes.
