temperatures at or above freezing from philadelphia north and west. i-95 corridor right on that mix line that dreaded mix line, and then rain to the south and east. we're carefully watching that because the more we mix, the less snow we get the less we mick obviously the more snow. by 11:00 o'clock in the morning, to the north and west we have some moderate snow falling. difficult travel. 33 in philadelphia. this warm air is trying to wedge in theism 95 corridor. and you still see some snow through south jersey and then by the afternoon 3:00 o'clock, everyone seeing snow before the storm moves out by about 6:00, 7:00 o'clock in the evening. so that means storm moves in faster it moves out faster but temperatures still borderline it is a heavy wet snow and that is the biggest concern. the height of the storm late morning into the afternoon. heavy wet snow at least an inch an hour north and west of the city we could have one to 2-inches an hour as far as the rate is concerned. winds gusting 30 to 40. but just difficult travel. we reduced visibility. we'

anywhere from philadelphia all points to the north and west. the northeast extension montgomery county and the lehigh valley. and trenton and burlington county and camden county we could see 1 to 2 inches of rain here. flooding on the streets and smaller streams given how saturated the ground is. we look at the rainfall total, inch and a half close to allentown and philadelphia. same for trenton and 3 inches or more in the poconos. over an inch in wilmington and places to the south like millville. and the winter part of the storm we have winter storm warnings in the poconos. carbon and monroe tomorrow morning and through saturday morning a winter weather advisory for parts of the lehigh valley from bethlehem to easton. this is where we expect most of the accumulating snow to really kind of pile up as we get into friday afternoon and friday night. future tracker 6 showing those areas could see anywhere from 6 to 12 inches of snow in the mountains and as close as allentown and easton and as much as 3 to 6 inches of snow. we'll talk about the wind

someone fired shots just after 3:00 this morning inside a home on north 5th street in north philadelphia. that shooting left a 16-year-old in critical condition. a 26-year-old woman was also shot. she is stable. police say the shooter was invited into the home with two other men and investigators say the men took $4,000 and ran off. police are still looking for them. >>> an elderly woman is in the hospital after a bullet flew through her bedroom window and hit her in the leg. police were called to the seniors apartments in southwest philadelphia around midnight. they found the victim with a gunshot wound to her knee. she's been taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay. no one is in custody. also in philadelphia, a fight at a crescentville beer store led to gunfire. two men are in the hospital in critical condition. police say it started at a store on the corner of whittaker and roosevelt boulevard around 11:00 p.m. five men started fighting. one man pulled a gun and shot two victims in the chest before running off. no one has been arrested. >> a firefighter is in the hospital aft

i was a teacher for one year, i was a volunteer in north philadelphia. i taught for one year and knew i would only teach for a year for volunteer work. i never thought about this. i can't imagine what i would do even if i had some training in law enforcement or how to handle a weapon, i can't imagine how to defend a classroom against this kind of killer with a high-powered weapon where he can shoot bullets one after another into a classroom. i can't even imagine it, and most people can't. schools are supposed to be places of teaching, of learning, of friendship, of competition, of engagement with all kinds of activities in a school. and, of course, schools are supposed to be places of growth where young people start a year or four years in high school, four years for high school, grade school longer, but it's a place to learn and grow. schools should not be places of fear and of trepidation and of uncertainty about what might happen in that school. that's not a -- that's not a common -- a common thought that students in years past had, that they would go
