i will give you a look so you can see what i'm talking about this is south 20th street, in south philadelphia, you can see, it is pretty much cleared you can see the snow, obviously on the sides, of the roadways and right by the cars but i'll tell you we came from our station, at spring garden, here to south philly, and even the smaller streets we know about these tight, small streets, in south philadelphia , they are pretty much, clear. i will say that it was a pretty good thing that the snow, ended so, early, relatively early yesterday, and early evening because crew s were able to get a handle on this snow, that had fallen. here in south philadelphia they were pretty lucky, in comparison to other parts of the our region. checking in with the national weather service, they had spot ters, estimate about 3 inches fell, in this area, and you can see it is pretty much smooth sailing, as far as being in the city. so, because of this city municipal offices are opening up on time, although city schools and archdiocesean schools are on a two hour delay to give those parents a little bit more time.

. >> let's switch over to jeanette reyes live in south philadelphia. jennette on a good morning you have to have care to get out and about on some of the streets, what would it be like today? >> reporter: tam, it's more of the same. the main roads are looking impressively clean. the plow truck drivers did a good job clearing the roads. it is the side streets that are tricky, it's the narrow ones. the issue is your car is kind of stuck in a mound of snow. this is one of the roads we're looking at 17th and titan in south philadelphia. it's not too bad, but it's tricky to get out of the parking space. we have icing because the temperatures did fall, although we were above freezing yesterday, whatever was leftover on the sidewalks and streets have iced up. the video from yesterday, of course we all saw and experienced yesterday's mess with the snow. the good thing was most of the day was just slush. seems like plow truck drivers took add advantage of getting roads cleared. a tree fell at 23rd and race and some people pitched in and cleared the rod and side

this is west ritner street in south philadelphia one of the smaller streets that we see in south philadelphia, and it is actually pretty clear, it is the worst we have seen so far driving around, i was on i-95, broad street and it was all, clear, so you can see, here on ritner street and some of the neighborhoods just residual snow on the side of the cars, that is really as much as we are seeing, we are going to try to turn down these more longer streets in the neighborhoods but you do see that a lot of the cars, the snow has melted off, you can see that car hasn't been cleaned off and it just has an inch or two, a dusting, coating, here, here to there, on different, cars. what we do want to mention is that just to get people started and back into work that the city is actually opening up on time but archdiocese and, public schools here in the city are on a two hour delay, just to give people time, to get acclimated, you know, clean up a little bit but as you can see, our patties pretty much clear, so far, in south philadelphia and i check with the national weather service and they are saying

jeanette reyes is live in south philadelphia. jennette, what are you seeing? >> reporter: well, tam, the good news is, getting out of your parking spot will probably be the hardest part, some roads are tough, the narrow streets that come with the territory. this is a street that's tricky this morning, 17th and titan. a lot of times if the road is clear, the snow is pushed up against the cars and getting out can take a little bit of trouble. once you get out, the roads are clean. take a look at the video, we saw 6-inch of snow in philadelphia. for the most part it was the wet, heavy snow. what that meant with temperatures above freezing a lot of it melted, so it was slush. it was easy to clean up the roads, n roads are all clean. kids decided to take up their time and take advantage of the snow yesterday. >> it was wet and slushy, it was more water, it was like slush. >> reporter: and that slush has iced over in some areas, don't get too confident as you walk out and drive out this morning, you'll notice on the car there will be ice. i expected all slush, but t
