that was held in philadelphia. so the tennis clinic for youth, but the reason we have the photograph up here is that it shows these players who impacted sports and helped with social change at this time through their -- not only through their accomplishments, but their advocacy. and it also reflects some of the changes that happened at this time in sports where we are really brought to the forefront at this time such as the increased participation of women in sports and people of color. starting with that, i want to talk about how perhaps athletes may have influenced civil rights movements and other movements that were going on at the time in 1968.
